Who You Are. How You Feel. Express Yourself in a Jih Tee.

Original Chinese calligraphy brushwork by the owner’s father — embroidered and printed on apparel you’ll actually want to wear.

THE HAND BEHIND EVERY CHARACTER

Every character was written by one man.

Every character on a Jih Tee was written by Jiausen Jih — the owner’s father, and a mathematician turned memoirist. Jiausen has written several books — memoirs and stories of his life. His first book, “An Ordinary Person’s Memoir,” even made it onto the shelf of the Library of Congress.

Dora has been putting his Chinese characters onto clothing for years — expressive of who she is and what she loves. It started with a family line: mom, dad, big sister, little sister, when she became a mom herself. Then she found a passion in triathlon, and naturally swim, bike, run found their way onto the line too. Dora continues to build the collection with characters her customers request.

THE SIGNATURE COLLECTION

Life Is Not Easy.™

Dora made her father a shirt with his lifelong saying on it. He wanted it in English, because he wants everyone to be able to read it. Life is not easy is not a complaint; it’s his philosophy on life. Seek challenges, do hard things, life should not be easy; if it is, you stopped living to your fullest. He wears it. When friends see photos of him in that shirt, they say: "I want one of those."

Tees and sweatshirts, embroidered the same way his shirt is. The philosophy that created everything else in this line.

REAL WORDS. REAL PEOPLE. REAL PHILOSOPHY

The Jih's Say

The Jih's Say is a collection of phrases the Jih family actually lives by — printed in English so everyone can read them. No calligraphy. Just words worth wearing.

THE ARTIST — JIAUSEN JIH

He titled his memoir "An Ordinary Person's Memoir." By any measure, there is nothing ordinary about how he has lived.
